Rumbling

Fish Notes

Happy Halloween!

This has been a stressful and busy month, I got sick for a good portion of it, and on top of that I wasn’t feeling particularly inspired, so it’s some small miracle that I was able to get an October piece put together in time for the holiday.

Going for more of a sci-fi horror vibe this year, finally taking advantage of a neat, gritty little sound design synth called Scarbo, which my brother had gifted me sometime back.  It’s certainly not my best work, given the above-mentioned constraints, but sometimes in art, you just need to pick something, push through, and finish it in order to break a slump with that little jolt of forced productivity!

Do Not Want

dogheadthing

Good gravy, this thing is unpleasant, and not in an easily definable way.

It’s the sort of thing that makes me feel like I should apologize to the world, on behalf of the world, for its existence.

But at the same time, sadistically inflict the knowledge of its existence upon others.

Sorry.

Gah.

Busy Buddy

BusyBuddy

This…this panda is so happy at the prospect of being a dog’s busy buddy / mouth friend.

That face.  That reality-piercing gaze.  It’s hypnotic.  It’s terrifying.  It’s sheer, unrestrained joy contorted into a caricature of soulless delight in its own impending destruction.

Don’t you dare try to tell me that’s its nose.

Don’t you dare.

Make a MONSTER!

Make a Monster

Who doesn’t like a proper monster now and then?  Especially one that you can hug or pose or throw at people.

But a good monster needs good writing to bring it to life.  With that in mind, my sister, the toy maker and horror fanatic, is holding a monster-themed short story competition, the prize for which is a custom-designed stuffed/plush/doll of your very own featured monster.

Sound awesome?  Of course it does.  Click here for details!

M-M-M-MONSTER!
